I once dreamt about.... a contemplative warrior who walked like shadow through a misty forest. He walked past a clearing one early morning. As he passed he spotted something: a larger person talking to a child. The warrior moved toward them but before he could get close the larger figure swept the smaller up and they both disappeared into the mist.Later on, back at the main camp, the warrior spotted the two visiting with the boss-Sensei. The child was young and the larger figure was the child's father. The warrior was astonished as he watched the child. The youngster was as quick and as nimble as any number of the battle trained warriors at the camp. As he walked over to inquire about them the young child ran up to him saying to the Father: "Daddy this is the one scared me, he's not scary". The child reached the warrior and jumped up onto his shoulder and with both feet kicked up, landing in the branches of the tree above.
This feat of skill shocked the warrior and he looked to his teacher the boss-Sensei. All the Sensei said to answer the warriors incredulity was: "This is the way of the son because this is the way of the Father."
The Father of the child seemed to have finished his business with the Sensei and he leapt up into the branches to retrieve his son after grabbing a firm hold of him they dissappeared into the treetops heading back to where they came from.
It was a pleasant dream...
